Brisbane Branch Meeting – A Farewell to the Build & Design Centre

BDQ invites members to attend a very special Brisbane Branch Meeting on Tuesday 10 November, featuring presentations from our Partners, Stormtech and Weathertex.

Michael Butler from Stormtech will present on threshold drainage considerations for livable housing, covering what a threshold drain is, how it works, and the key design and compliance requirements under NCC 2022 and the Livable Housing Design Standard. The session will touch on drainage selection, materials, finishes, and practical considerations for sliding, bi-fold, and hinged door applications. Product samples will be available on the night.

Peter Turnbull from Weathertex will then showcase the Weathertex cladding range, covering product features, benefits, and why Weathertex is a strong choice for your next project.

This evening also marks a farewell to the Build & Design Centre, where the Brisbane Branch has called home for many years. The night will include a special thank-you to Surahna and the team for their wonderful hospitality, along with live acoustic music. It promises to be a memorable evening and a fitting send-off for a venue that has meant so much to our community.
