Brisbane Branch Meeting
BDQ invites members to attend the upcoming Brisbane Branch Meeting, featuring presentations by Resene and Allcast Precast.
Torben Olsen from Resene will lead a discussion on current specification trends, exploring what finishes are being specified, common challenges in achieving desired outcomes, and how Resene can better support architects, designers and builders through stronger project partnerships.
Mike Cunningham will present Elevating Home Design with Allcast Precast Plunge Pools, a BDQ-exclusive session highlighting the integration of precast concrete plunge pools into residential and hospitality projects. The presentation will cover design integration, installation methodology and the value of predictable delivery, with samples available to view.
In addition, property photographer Jayden Paynter will present a short session on photography for BDA submissions, covering how to brief a photographer, capturing design intent and details, drone considerations, and media release requirements. An informal Q&A will follow for members seeking practical insights into documenting their work for awards.
The evening will also include a brief branch meeting and the opportunity to connect with fellow members and industry partners, encouraging discussion, knowledge sharing and professional networking within the Brisbane design community.
